  1. In the early stage, you are firstly required to join your Belkin router and PC together. To form a solid connection, take the Ethernet cable that is supplied to you with your router. Then, affix it with the ethernet ports of both the router and the PC. Within a few seconds, your PC will be connected to the internet.
  2. In the second place, you have to log in to your Belkin router. For that purpose, browse to “http://router” by inserting the URL in the address bar. Instead of this, you may use the Belkin default router IP address i.e 192.168.2.1. Thereafter, press the Enter key and move forward for the Belkin router setup.
  3. This will bring up the Belkin login window asking you to fill the Password field. Now, view the sticker pasted on the back of the router. If it is “admin”, type the same into the Password field. Otherwise, you have to leave the Password field empty and click on the Submit button. Proceed to the next stage for the Belkin Setup
  4. You will view a new window on your PC screen. Spot the “Detect my Connection” or “Try my Connection” tab based on your specific Belkin Router model number. Select it. Following this, your router will now search for the updated firmware. Just after that, you will get to see the License Agreement window on your screen.
  5. Read the whole agreement without ignoring any statement. If you abide by the agreement, enable the checkbox “I accept the License Agreement” and click on the “Install Update” button. A new will be available on your screen on which you will get to see three different fields “Network Name”, “Password” and “Security Type”. Set a new wireless network name and a tough password to prevent illegitimate access. Additionally, set Security Type as “WPA/WPA2”.
  6. With this, it will display another window on which you can easily register your router. Fill the form of registration that comprises First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, Email Address, and Country. Click on the Complete Registration tab and you will see your router Dashboard window. There, you can view the list of devices that are linked to your Wifi, allow the Guest Access control, change the DHCP settings and a lot more. This concludes the Belkin router Setup process.
